As a team lead, you will be responsible for defining and executing the team's strategy, leading strategic high impact projects and also serving your team so they can develop and be successful along their career. The Payops team is responsible for: - Ensuring that our merchants receive their payouts as quickly as possible in a cost effective manner. - Ensuring that our payment operations and devices are running smoothly. Having a world class quality experience for our merchants across all of our products, monitoring operations and implementing a continuous improvement system, working closely with internal teams (product, hardware, engineering) and external parties. - Manage and push new products and features through the interactions with Aquirers, banks and other financial entities in order to further improve our value roadmap. - Reconciling and executing operational settlements of funds between SumUp and our merchants. **What You'll Do** - Lead a high performance/high impact team of both analysts and administrative staff. Push each individual's development plan and drive people management with care. - Be accountable for the company's payments and payouts to/from merchants (core business). Continuously improve each process involved in our operations through technology. - Define and strategize the quarterly OKRs of the team according to the overall strategy of the company. - Oversee each important datapoint in order to have a healthy and ever growing operation. - Lead the relationship with Acquirers, Banks and other financial firms to create the best opportunities for our merchants. - Identify and push important and strategic new projects with a diverse and global business team and IT team. **What You'll Need** - Be a problem-solver and super pragmatic. Dealing with so much data can lead you to nowhere if you do not have a highly structured approach. - Strong analytical skills, you are able to decompose complex problems into smaller parts and know how to effectively work with data. Prior programming knowledge/SQL is a plus. - Push every key project identifying the stakeholders and steps involved. Have the ability to keep a tempo to surely and continuously advance towards our strategic objectives. - Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic environments. As a fintech we are a fast paced company with new products being launched frequently, which requires pragmatism in a daily basis - You are a fast-learner and self-starter. You'll be working at a startup: be prepared to run things outside of your scope and do not expect us to have all the answers you need. - Strategic view and understanding of our go to market strategy and how we add value to our customers.
