Working as a Project Engineer in Iquique Chile, you will be the support person for various engineering projects in the Process Automation, providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals. In this role, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

**This position reports to**:
Engineering Manager I

**Your responsibilities**:

- Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors.
- Assisting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards.
- Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline.
- Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in the Automation Business.
- Developing your management and communication skills by working with entry-level employees.
- Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor´s degree in Electrical, Automation, Electronic or Computer Engineering with knowledge in automation.
- At least 3 years of experience in automation in industries and programming of control systems.
- Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including System 800xA.
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Knowledge in automation processes and communication protocols: Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus and tcp/ip.
- Availability to travel.
- Intermediate English.
