Production Supervisor

Job Characteristics:Responsible for first line supervision of work unit to meet production schedules. Participates in product cost improvement; control quality and yields; plans production activities, and maintains safe working conditions and employee relations.
Education/Work Experience:Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. Two or less years experience in production supervision and/or quality control in a chemical manufacturing environment in a related industry.
Independence Level/Reports to:Executes production plan per budgeted standards. Executes plant labor and overhead budget. Typically supervises direct reports. Normally reports to Production Manager or Plant Manager.
