Multimedia Producer (Contract Talent)

Robert Half is seeking a Multimedia Producer who will produce training, corporate communications, marketing and other enterprise-wide multimedia projects.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Plan projects which includes, but is not limited to: developing the concept, deciding what form of media to be used, scripting, storyboarding, budgeting, allocation of additional resources, and setting deadlines.
- Manage multiple deadlines. Project complexity varies from project to project.
- Work independently and also as part of a team to establish project deliverables.
- Work closely with clients/stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to help facilitate the creation of the content.
- Present options based on desired deliverables.
- Develop a project timeline and communicates the project status with the clients/stakeholders throughout the duration of the project.
- Preproduction planning which includes, but is not limited to: planning the shoot/recording, storyboarding, developing a production schedule, scouting/selecting/reserving shoot locations, selecting and/or hiring additional crew, selecting and/or hiring talent, communicating wardrobe requirements to talent, reserving and/or renting equipment, making transportation arrangements for crew, talent, and/or equipment, making sure all location power needs are met.
- Participate in video shoots. Roles include Producer, Director, Camera Operator, Sound, Lighting, Production Assistant, and Talent. Will need to work with/coach actors if in Director role.
- Participate in audio recording sessions. Roles include Sound Engineer, Producer, Director, and Talent. Will need to work with/coach voice talent if in Producer/Director role.
- Edit video which includes selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing footage, organizing raw media, editing footage, inserting graphics and animations, titling, adding music/voice-over/SFX, media management, and archiving.
- Edit audio which includes selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing sound files, editing content, adding music/SFX, media management, and archiving.
- Create still and motion graphics for video and other multimedia projects. Types include, but are not limited to: logos, titles, opening/closing sequences, chroma key/green screen compositing, and working with objects in 2D/3D space.
- Compress video/audio for delivery which includes deciding on final format for delivery (DVD, videotape, web), selecting the appropriate codec, maximizing quality settings for video and sound while minimizing file size.
- DVD authoring which includes importing audio and video files, designing/creating menus, linking buttons to audio/video files, creating chapters, formatting, testing, and burning disc.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma.
- 2+ years’ professional experience in radio, television, film, sound, new media, etc.
- Sound: Small format mixers, compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track and waveform editing.
- Video: Prosumer camcorders (HVX-200 or similar), various SD and HD formats, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding, photography.
- Post Production: Digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, video compression for web and DVD delivery.
- Applications: Apple Final Cut Pro Studio 3 (Final Cut Pro 7, Motion 4, DVD Studio Pro 4, Compressor 3.5, Soundtrack Pro 3, Color 1.5), Adobe CS6 (After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Premiere Pro, Encore, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Adobe Media Encoder) Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro, Telestream Episode, Pro Tools.
- Efficiency in Mac and Windows environments.
- Must be able to contribute to and thrive in a team environment.
