**Job description**

**Clinical Duties**
- To provide effective Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment for residents in the nursing home.
- To participate in Patient Review meeting with other team members.
- To supervise therapy assistants (TAs) and volunteers helping in relevant areas.
- To maintain good communication with all members of rehabilitation team.

**Education and Training**
- To keep abreast with advances in the profession and to contribute to the development of the department.
- To be involved in training of the therapy aides, therapy associates, volunteers and care-givers.
- To teach and supervise OT students and TA students in their clinical placements.
- To be involved in in-service education of the nurses in aspects related to physiotherapy.
- To participate in research projects.

**Administrative Duties**
- To cover the duties of the other Occupational Therapy in the Allied Health Team within the organization.
- To provide departmental workload statistic and monthly incident report to Head, Allied Health and Senior therapist in-charge in the center.
- To give input or/and appraise therapy assistant and therapy associate staff.

**Other Duties**
- To participate in projects within own department or in inter-departmental committees and quality improvement projects.
- Assist in identifying problem areas, recommend and implement improvements in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior therapist in-charge and Head, Allied Health

**Job Requirements**
- Diploma/Degree in Health Science (Occupational Therapy)
- Obtain Full registration and Licensed by the Allied Health Professions Council to practice in Singapore
- Accredited as a supervisor under the AHPC supervisory framework
- Preferably to have at least 5 years of administrative and/or managerial experiences
