In Corporate Research, we support clients on projects such as market assessment and sizing, competitive intelligence and benchmarking, voice of customer, innovation intelligence, supplier and procurement intelligence, among others. Our clients are from a wide variety of industries and mostly based in the US and Europe.
A Research Lead is responsible for managing projects from start of execution to completion. This includes independently managing client projects, leading the research team assigned to the project, analyzing the processes implemented, performing secondary and primary research, ensuring quality and timely delivery, and preparing reports containing meaningful insights for our clients.

Responsibilities details:

- Independently manage client projects
- Ensure quality at each step and on the final deliverable.
- Rapidly orient oneself and project team on the client’s industry and business.
- Lead client communication. Be the main point of contact for a specific project.
- Manage clients’ expectations.
- Lead the research team assigned to the project
- Manage project execution (e.g., time, staff, quality, etc.),
- Solve project-related problems
- Flag potential issues arising during project execution
- Provide guidance to the researchers
- Research skills to be utilized include:

- Qualitative research methods, which can include rapid assessments or in-depth studies within a target group, market, or industry.
- Quantitative research methods that can involve survey analytics, market studies and large public / paid datasets.
- Data collection through secondary research (databases, web search).
- Data collection through primary research (cold calls, surveys, expert interviews) to gather information and derive insights not readily available otherwise.
- Prepare reports containing meaningful insights for our clients
- Analyze and synthesize the information to draw insights
- Prepare executive level presentations
- Create presentation of findings (e.g., MS PowerPoint, MS Word, webinar / in-person presentations)

What you bring to the role:
Undergraduate degree (see below for details) and the following skills:

- Experience:

- 3+ years’ experience in research OR
- 6+ years’ experience in business administration / business strategy / business ownership OR
- 6+ years’ experience in a non-research-related domain role (for example, customer service manager for a telecom; marketing lead for a retailer; R&D lead for food ingredients; category manager)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong logical and critical thinking skills
- Project Management:

- Ability to translate the desired project goals into sequential steps that need to be executed through the research or analytical process
- Ability to collaborate with others or work independently, seeking guidance when needed, initiating action, adapting to change, and accepting challenging assignments
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment
- High degree of flexibility

We'd love to see:

- Customer or client servicing/management is a plus
- Domain / industry experience is a plus; e.g., telecom, media, technology, consumer goods, logistics, procurement, energy, oil & gas, industrial machinery, construction, automotive, chemicals, sustainability, etc.
