About the Role:
On behalf of Huawei Technologies, a world-leading ICT solutions provider, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Entry-Level Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud team in Chile. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career by gaining hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge cloud infrastructures on Huawei Cloud. You will play a key role in supporting our clients' digital transformation and growing your skills in the rapidly evolving cloud industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Deployment & Operations:
Assist in the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services using the Huawei Cloud platform, adhering to best practices for security, reliability, and cost-efficiency. - Automation & Scripting:
Develop and maintain scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates (e.g., using Python, Bash, or Terraform) to automate operational tasks and streamline cloud resource management. - Monitoring & Support:
Help monitor system performance, availability, and health dashboards. Participate in initial troubleshooting and support to identify and resolve technical incidents. - Security & Compliance:
Implement foundational security controls by assisting in the management of user access, configuring security groups, and ensuring compliance with basic cloud security policies. - Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with development and operations teams. Create and maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for operational procedures and system configurations.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience, which can include internships, academic projects, or personal labs involving cloud platforms.
- Foundational understanding of core cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, VPC, networking).
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and a keen interest in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
- Possession of Huawei Certifications, such as the HCIA-Huawei Cloud Certification, is a huge plus and will be highly valued.
- A proactive learner with excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Advanced English (written and spoken) is mandatory to thrive in our international environment.
