Senior Director, HSSE

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Design, manage, and implement Safety, Security, and Environmental processes and systems for all DP World Chile business units
• Manage all relations with the ARO region and HQ Corporate Offices regarding all QHSSE-related subjects
• Manage the design of HSSE and Environmental training for all new starters and team members
• Identify and control on-site Safety and Environmental risks, activities, and processes
• Manage CIR (accident investigation) processes
• Mentor and support Port & Logistics / Depots staff in the use of QHSSE processes and systems
• Ensure QHSSE compliance with national, regional, and company global requirements.
• Submit QHSSE data to regional and global offices, ensuring the accuracy of all data provided.
• Identify best practice QHSSE opportunities external to the industry and evaluate potential implementation.
• Ensure that on-site emergency management is in place
• Conduct regular HSSE workplace observations, S&E meetings, audits, and inspections.
• Direct the strategy to ensure the management system's compliance with the regulations and standards that govern the organization's operations and processes, such as ISO standards and ISPS

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Formal HSE qualification to Diploma / Degree level for example: NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and or NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management
• Minimum 5-7 years' practical experience in HSE
• Minimum  5   years'   experience  working   in   heavy  industrial environments
• Experience in leading critical incident investigations
• Experience in the development  and management  of corrective action plans and projects
• Experience in liaising with government, regulatory, industry and labour organizations
• Experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders in a matrix reporting relationship;
• Experience working in global multinationals
• Proven experience in leading the implementation of management systems in complex scenarios
• Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels within the organization and lead / mentor workgroups and individuals
• Excellent influencing  skills demonstrated  through verbal  and written communication and
• Excellent change management skills
