Mining and Metals:

Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. Job Summary:

This position focuses on driving sustainability and creating meaningful impact within the mining and metals industry. The ideal candidate will excel in collaborative environments, bringing energy, adaptability, and a proactive mindset to both individual and team initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and analyzing sustainability and ESG trends within the mining sector to inform decision-making and identify emerging opportunities.
• Collaborating in identifying sustainability and ESG initiatives for current and future projects, supporting implementation and tracking progress.
• Delivering day-to-day assistance to team members on project and engagement activities, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination.
• Assisting in preparing sustainability-related content for project bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
• Supporting the preparation of materials for meetings focused on sustainability topics, contributing to effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Contributing to the creation of tools, templates, and resources that enhance sustainability management and execution across mining and metals operations.
• Assisting in developing content for blogs, newsletters, and other communications to promote sustainability initiatives internally and externally.
• Engaging with relevant business resource groups to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing on sustainability matters.
• Participating in projects through shadowing, client interaction, project management activities, scheduling, and workshops to build expertise in sustainability practices.
• Supporting research initiatives that drive innovation and continuous improvement in sustainability and ESG performance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree in social sciences, sustainability, communications or related field, and 1-2 years work experience within the Mining and Metals and/or Construction industry.
