Company Description
Anton Paar will establish a new wholly-owned subsidiary in Santiago de Chile starting in January 2026. Therefore, we are looking for someone to join our team as In-House Service Technician.
The In-House Service Technician is responsible to provide expert technical support, repair, and calibration services while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Providing technical support to customers via telephone and email.
- Deliver outstanding repair, maintenance, and calibration services.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintaining strong client relationships.
- Prepare estimates for the cost of repair
- Plan and document all repair and maintenance activities independently.
- Performing factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required).
- Taking responsibility for personal warehouse / stock.
- Forwarding sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need to be replaced.
- Attending all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for the relevant product lines.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Electronics or Mechanics, Physics or another technical discipline. Bachelor degree and/or engineering degree in the related areas are a plus.
- Some hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Direct experience with analytical instruments is advantageous.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in reading electronic schematics, using test equipment, and performing tool-based repairs.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
- Occasional customer on-site visits for diagnosis and repairs.
