Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
  • Provide specialized advice and strategic recommendations to internal teams on tax planning, withholding obligations, and social security contributions.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and HR teams to ensure accurate calculation and reporting of payroll taxes and social security contributions.
  • Advise on assignment structures, tax treaty application, and identification of tax-efficient benefits.
  • Educate and counsel employees on their tax obligations and the implications of international assignments.
  • Provide guidance on tax equalization and tax protection policies, ensuring employee understanding and compliance.
  • Analyze employee compensation and payroll data to calculate tax liabilities and identify potential tax benefits.
  • Prepare supporting applications and documentation to optimize employees' tax positions, including detailed data analysis and direct communication with assignees.
  • Maintain complete and accurate tax records to ensure audit readiness.
  • Monitor and stay current on international tax laws and regulatory developments.
  • Prepare and present tax reports to management, auditors, and tax authorities, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Develop a working understanding of other service lines to identify cross-functional issues and collaborate with Tax Subject Matter Experts on integrated solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth research on country-specific tax matters in jurisdictions where the organization operates.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients with employees on business travel, delivering high-quality service and support.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding trip assessment progress, address concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction.
  • Manage the financial aspects of engagements, including billing, collections, and tracking of metrics and KPIs.
  • Partner with clients to implement Global Mobility Tax strategies that minimize liabilities for both the organization and employees.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing client base through a strong understanding of evolving client needs.
  • Support growth of the client portfolio and strengthen existing client relationships to drive revenue.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify potential growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Bilingual proficiency (for example, English and Spanish).
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
