Mining and Metals:

Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsable for overseeing and optimizing the operations, maintenance, and efficiency of facilities across multiple worldwide locations. Functions include but are not limited to: project administration, office services, technical publications, building operations and services, office facilities planning, and office facilities related projects. Develops standards, forecasts and budgets for these services. Investigates, analyzes and recommends new technologies and systems to improve work processes while staying in compliance with Bechtel and regulatory requirements, as they relate to facilities.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership".

Major Responsibilities:

• Managing global maintenance, security, cleaning, and space planning to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and productive.
• Developing and implementing long-term facility management strategies, including policies, procedures, and objectives, aligned with company goals.
• Forecast, manage, and report on global facility budgets (with help from FP&A), track expenses, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiating, managing, and evaluating external vendors and service providers for a wide range of services.
• Planning and coordinating large-scale projects, including new construction, renovations, and upgrades, across multiple locations.
• Ensuring all facilities comply with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conducting regular site inspections and assessments to identify issues and provide reports to management and clients on facility performance and project progress.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Experience with global facilities management, including multi-site environments.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations worldwide.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal stakeholders and external partners globally.
