About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled
Senior Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technician
with
strong PLC knowledge
and
excellent documentation skills
to join our tower crane service team in Ireland.

This is a
hands-on field service role
involving
installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
of
Liebherr
or
Wolff tower cranes
on major construction sites. You'll work independently and as part of a team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable crane performance — while maintaining accurate technical and service documentation.

If you have 5+ years of tower crane experience and can confidently handle both the technical and reporting side of field service, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform
  electrical and mechanical service, repairs, and installations
  on Liebherr / Wolff tower cranes.
• Lead or assist with
  crane erection, dismantling, and commissioning
  activities.
• Execute
  PLC-based fault diagnosis, programming, and troubleshooting
  (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
• Read and interpret
  electrical diagrams, PLC logic, and control schematics
  .
• Conduct
  preventive maintenance inspections and performance tests
  .
• Ensure safe working practices when
  working at height
  or on construction sites.
• Produce detailed
  service reports, job sheets, and fault analysis documentation
  .
• Communicate clearly with site teams, management, and factory support.
• Mentor junior technicians and maintain high technical and safety standards.

Skills & Experience Required

• Fully qualified
  Electrician
  or
  Electro-Mechanical Technician
  (trade or technical certificate).
• Minimum 5 years' experience
  working with
  tower cranes
  (Liebherr / Wolff preferred).
• Strong PLC knowledge is essential
  – including fault-finding, diagnostics, and parameter adjustments.
• Proven ability to produce
  clear and accurate technical documentation and service reports
  .
• Strong understanding of
  electrical control systems, drives, motors, and sensors
  .
• Hands-on mechanical skills – gearboxes, winches, slewing units, hydraulics.
• Confident working
  at height
  and in variable outdoor conditions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Good
  English proficiency
  ;
  Spanish-speaking candidates
  welcome (language support provided).

Preferred Background

• Experience on
  Liebherr EC-B / EC-H
  or
  Wolff
  crane models.
• Background in
  industrial maintenance, crane erection, or heavy equipment service
  .
• Familiarity with
  European electrical and safety standards
  .
• Working at Height / Safe Pass / CSCS
  certifications (can be arranged).
