Service Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales and development of Motion Service Portfolio Chile in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion Service division in Santiago, Chile.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery timelines, payment terms, and general commercial conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy.
  • Drive profitable business growth by identifying and developing new market opportunities, high-growth industries, customers, and applications, contributing to orders, revenues, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the designated market.
  • Develop and execute market and account penetration plans to build a sustainable mid- and long-term sales pipeline, leveraging ABB's portfolio of products, services, solutions, and lifecycle offerings in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead consultative sales engagements, understanding customer business needs and pain points, and working with technical, financial, and operational teams to structure integrated and value-based proposals.
  • Ensure effective pipeline and forecast management, qualifying opportunities based on value, probability, and strategic alignment, and prioritizing resources toward high-impact opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, developing multi-level engagement and positioning ABB as a trusted business partner.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roles, developing new business and managing client portfolios (optional: working with electrical motors and related solutions)
  • You are highly skilled in sales and business development within the industrial market, with a strong focus on developing new business opportunities
  • Possess enhanced knowledge in of electric motors and related industrial equipment
  • You are passionate about new customer development and closing deals, with a hunter profile and strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Proven experience in the industrial segment, such as pulp & paper, cement, mining, marine, water & sanitation, and food & beverage industries (desirable)
  • You are at ease communicating in English at an intermediate–advanced level
