**What we're looking for**

Vacasa Chile is looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer who is eager to contribute and learn with a strong focus on frontend development. You should thrive in an independent role within a fast-paced software development environment. As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you'll be a key influencer on your team, solving mission-critical problems and being a hands-on contributor to our ever-evolving systems. We believe to shine in this role, you're good at:
**What you'll do**
- Developing responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
- Collaborating closely with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing user interfaces
- Guiding peer developers via code reviews, discussion, and modeling of code that is easy to evolve and read
- Continuously learning new technologies and validating concepts in order to pick the right tool for the job
- Utilizing DevOps tools and practices for building, deploying, and maintaining software in production environments
- Participating and building a collaborative, productive culture around product-focused goals
- Building towards higher quality standards and working with your team to create robust testing approaches
- Participate in and encourage collaborative conversations around problem-solving
- Provide a productive outlook and ensure all voices are heard to shape your team's culture
- Advocate for quality standards and work with your team to create robust testing capabilities
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other software engineers on your team

**Skills you'll need**
- 5+ years of professional experience, with a strong focus on frontend development and proficiency in multiple frontend languages
- Fluent English
- Adept at guiding technical direction within a cross-functional engineering team
- Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code that places maintainability over cleverness; know when and what to optimize for in a given situation
- Experience and/or enthusiasm to mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Working knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL)
- Proficiency in frontend languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python, along with experience using testing frameworks
- Familiarity with javascript frameworks like React and their associated ecosystem (React Router, Redux, etc.)

**Nice to have**
- Completed a B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience working with cloud computing platforms, specifically **AWS**:

- Experience writing Infrastructure as Code
- Experience building serverless systems
