**Position Summary**
**Responsibilities**
The Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineer is principally responsible for:
- Prepares control system engineering reports for clients as required.
- Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals
- Coordinates control systems engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
- When delegated, provides technical guidance to other control systems engineering personnel for specific tasks or projects.
- Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project control system requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
- Mentors and assists more junior control systems team members.
- Completes control systems documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of equipment, systems, or processes by preparing specifications and defining requisitions and subcontracts.
- Reviews and checks the work of others as assigned.
- May assist less-experienced team members.
**Qualifications and Skills**
**Basic Qualifications**
The Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineer shall be knowledgeable and/or experienced in:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevant experience
Possesses either a recognized degree in electrical, electronic, or automation engineering from an accredited university.
**Additional Qualifications**
- Career-level position within the field.
- Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.
- Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of the area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Networks and connects with senior internal and external personnel in their own area of expertise.
