**SOUTHWIND — RETAIL MANAGER II**:

As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of His gospel, model a full understanding of Young Life’s ministry strategy and equip and lead a team of staff in providing excellent camping experiences for individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know the truth of God’s love for them.

**Mission & Authority**:
Through both continued training and direct experience, lead staff and prepare an environment where guests, staff, and volunteers are well cared for using the cornerstones of excellence and service. This is a role that manages the retail operations at a level two Young Life camp or manages only 2 of the 5 retail centers at a level three camp. Retail operations include but not limited to: store, concessions, crafts, vending and coffee shop.

**Essential Duties**:
**Spiritual Formation**:_Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus._
- Participate in opportunities for growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus.
- With direction from supervisor, develop an annual personal spiritual growth plan.
- Foster an environment where department staff has opportunities for ongoing spiritual development, including execution of their personal spiritual growth plan.
- Create a ministry of retail statement that communicates goals and practices.

**Attentive Hospitality**:_Equip servant leaders who anticipate and respond to the needs of our guests, staff and vendors, through Christ-like service._
- Establish a department posture of service that anticipates guest needs and responds with professionalism through intentional decisions and systems.
- Develop the retail centers [Store, Snack Bar, and Coffee Shop] to serve guests’ requests and sustainable business practices.
- Demonstrate and train exceptional customer service.
- Schedule retail staff for each center to meet guest group size.
- Demonstrate customer care by assisting customers with inquires and product selection.
- Show care and hospitality to all who serve and work within the retail department.

**Interpersonal Relationships**:_Help build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors to foster healthy community._

**Comprehensive Stewardship**:_Manage with integrity the finances, people, buildings and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry._
- Develop systems and train staff to participate in comprehensive stewardship.
- Ensure financial security throughout retail department both of cash handling and inventory.
- Create and manage the financial budget for retail department.
- Analyze monthly financial reports and establish goals accordingly.
- Maintain accurate financial reports [deposits, Concur, POS reports].
- Create ordering and invoice systems to track inventory and payment processes.
- Perform an annual physical inventory of store.
- Forecast inventory levels and product needs of guests and participate in group purchasing.
- Adjust inventory levels for seasonality and group size.
- Evaluate department systems and processes annually, updating documents to reflect accuracy.
- Engage in annual personnel evaluations for all retail staff.
- Develop understating for equipment maintenance and operation as needed for retail centers
- Participate in weekly guest group information meetings; developing appropriate retail hours based on guest group history and requests.
- Complete an annual cost analysis for concessions and coffee areas.
- Utilize the LINK to schedule DIN, routine tasks and preventative maintenance.
