Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Architect to join our team at BCG Platinion. As a Senior IT Architect, you will be part of our team and collaborate with our colleagues from BCG Strategy Consulting, Digital Ventures, and Gamma to work on UK and international client projects.

You will assess and coach our clients' IT teams, define IT strategies and architecture solutions, establish and manage delivery teams, and roll up your sleeves to build proof of concepts and MVPs, applying your technical know-how, your understanding of business contexts, and your analytical and conceptual skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of work packages/modules in critical IT implementation projects
  • Technical architecture, code reviews, and performance of technical proofs of concept
  • Analysis of complex IT application landscapes, optimization of development processes, and Solution Architecture
  • Functional and technical online and Internet strategies
  • IT project management and quality assurance
Requirements
  • Between 6 - 10 years' experience in software development, technical project management, digital delivery, or technology consulting
  • Full understanding of interdependencies between her/his own work stream and the overall project context, being able to scope and design a work stream autonomously and take responsibility for it
  • Can run a workshop at peer level: effectively facilitating client meetings, preparing CTMs, co-leading a content topic, as well as coaching other project members and able to generate trust, to be perceived by the client as a potential partner
  • A university degree with above-average academic performance in a STEM-related field
  • Extensive technical expertise (overarching understanding of architecture, object-oriented programming languages, database design and systems, component technologies, XML standards, and current technology trends) of digital solutions on mobile devices as well as legacy environments
  • Extensive experience in the assessment of IT target architectures in an enterprise environment, component technologies, and service-oriented architectures
  • Experience with No-SQL and SQL DBs, also exposure to big data environments (e.g., Hadoop, Redshift)
  • Technical experience with Cloud services and Infrastructure
