About the Role

FAO is seeking a highly skilled International Development Specialist to support the effective implementation of the Country Programming Framework (CPF) in Chile. The ideal candidate will have experience in policy analysis, programme/project development and management, as well as a strong understanding of food and nutrition security, agriculture and rural development, and natural resources management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with government authorities and local, national and international institutions to ensure effective coordination and cooperation.
  • Represent FAO at interagency meetings as required.
  • Develop and maintain communication tools, such as websites, press releases, and publications, to promote FAO's image and mandate.
Requirements
  • University degree in agriculture, agricultural economics, forestry, fisheries, natural resources, rural development, social sciences, international relations or any other field related to FAO's work.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in public and/or private sectors related to policy analysis, programming, planning, and technical cooperation in food and agriculture, including successful resource mobilization.
  • Working knowledge (proficient level C) of Spanish.
  • Working knowledge (proficient level B) of English.
