We're looking for a seasoned Renewable Energy Business Development Expert to drive growth in the South America region. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the energy storage space. Your expertise will help us develop and execute strategies to increase market share and establish Wärtsilä as a leader in the industry.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the renewable energy market, particularly in South America, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and build strong relationships with key customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Originating new business opportunities for Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) in South America, including hardware & software for new build and service agreements.
- Forecasting and delivering sales ranging in magnitude from $10 - $200M+ each with profitability and risk profiles according to company directives.
- Developing, managing, and growing long-term relationships with key customer accounts throughout the energy storage project lifecycle.
- Creating and executing strategy and account planning for assigned customers.
- Preparing and submitting offers for energy storage solutions.
Main Requirements:
5 – 10 years of experience managing business development strategy and execution within the renewable power market specific to Energy Storage solutions. English proficiency at a minimum of a proficient level.
