About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our Law Department in Santiago, Chile. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical legal support for our business segments operating in Latin America, ensuring compliance with local regulations and laws.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department in Latin America, with relevant expertise in the Latin American insurance industry or financial services sector. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, reviewing contracts, and assisting with regulatory queries.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality legal advice to our Latin American business, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  2. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all legal matters.
  3. Review and prepare contracts required by our business, including those related to wider Latin American operations.
  4. Assist Local Counsel on corporate matters and provide support for regulatory queries.
  5. Prepare answers to queries from regulators, clients, or other stakeholders.

  • A competitive salary range of $2,500,000 to $3,500,000 CLP per annum (approximately USD 30,000 to 45,000), depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Law degree from a certified university in Chile.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry within Latin America.
  • Advanced level of English language proficiency, with excellent written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects/priorities in a dynamic environment.
