About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Specialist to join our team at Levi Strauss & Co. in Santiago, Chile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement assortment strategies for various product categories, classes, or subclasses, and consumers, based on competitive landscape analysis, consumer trends, and brand insights.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external commercial partners to select the best products for Levi's.
  • Collaborate with planners and allocators on weekly business reviews, open-to-buy management, and plan revisions to achieve financial and strategic goals.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly product performance, working with Planning & Allocation and Merchant Managers to identify risks and opportunities, and determine short-, medium-, and long-term actions to increase opportunities and minimize risks.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to our teams and senior leaders in the organization.
  • Present the collection of products in sales conventions of each channel, directly assisting the commercial team for franchises and training the wholesale channel representatives team.
  • Participate and present in business review meetings.
  • Use marketplace insights, competitive analysis, and sell-out trends to guide data-informed decisions.
  • Oversee product data integrity in merchant systems.
  • Drive operational and process improvements between all partners to increase efficiency.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
  • 1 year of direct merchandising/buying experience working at an apparel manufacturer, retailer, or marketer.
  • Knowledge of merchandising and design trends, and the ability to apply that knowledge to create product assortments that win in the marketplace.
  • Understanding of financial measurements, including sales, gross margin, inventory turn, ST%, weeks of supply, and their impact on the business.
  • Knowledge of the customer and categories under management, with a passion for both product and consumers.
  • English required.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel (ability to perform complex functions).
