About the Opportunity:
Working at the ArboretumAs a seasonal gardener and event support staff member at the Gabis Arboretum, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and integrity of our gardens and grounds, while also supporting events and programs.
This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, using hand tools and small equipment to maintain gardens, grounds, and facilities. You will also have the opportunity to interact with visitors and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in garden maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning, and planting.
- Maintain grounds and facilities through custodial duties and minor repairs.
- Support events and programs by assisting with setup and breakdown, and providing excellent customer service.
- Operate cash register and provide information to visitors in the gatehouse and Depot.
