Job Overview
As a Financial Data Specialist at Prosperity Bank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data used in lending decisions. Your responsibilities will include analyzing credit and financial reports to determine risk involved in loaning money or extending credit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spreading and analyzing commercial financial statements for prospective and existing loan customers
- Performing trend, equity, and ratio analysis to determine creditworthiness of borrowers
- Reviewing loan applications and making recommendations on credit grades based on creditworthiness of borrowers and performance of loans
- Identifying documentation exceptions and evaluating underwriting
- Conducting CRE Stress Test Analysis and reviewing rent rolls, construction budgets, and pro forma statements
- Preparing stress models and projected income scenarios
- Running background reports through LexisNexis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance with a minimum of 9 hours of accounting and/or 12 hours of finance
- Minimum one year banking experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial information and identify relevant risks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
