We are seeking a highly qualified Cyber Security Instructor to join our team at Ivy Tech Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of cyber security.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in cyber security and experience in teaching or training adults. They will be expected to deliver high-quality instruction, assess student learning, and provide guidance and support to students as needed.
Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver assigned classes in accordance with college policy and course objectives, making optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Course Development: Optimize course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials, maintaining accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Student Engagement: Engage with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
- Professionalism: Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with college policies, campus guidelines, and expectations.
- Safety Procedures: Ensure knowledge of and implement emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs, and all learning environments.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
Qualifications- Credentials: Possess a master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in information assurance or a related field, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
- Experience: Have two years of in-field professional employment, documented evidence of teaching excellence, research and publication in the field, or relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree.
This is a part-time adjunct faculty position, with an estimated annual salary range of $60,000-$80,000 based on experience and qualifications. The selected candidate will also be eligible for benefits, including health insurance and retirement planning.
