We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a full-time position as an Associate Professor in Developmental Psychology at the University of Oslo. The successful applicant will contribute to the department's research and teaching activities, focusing on developmental psychology in children and adolescents.
About the PositionThe appointee will be responsible for conducting research in developmental psychology, with a focus on children and adolescents, and teaching courses across all programs offered by the department. They will also participate in academic administrative functions, such as serving on boards, committees, and ad-hoc working groups.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in psychology or a related field
- A strong research record in developmental psychology, with extensive experience observing, interviewing, or testing typical and/or atypical children and/or adolescents
- A solid teaching record in developmental psychology, including course organization, lectures, seminars, supervision, and examinations
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to learn Norwegian within the first three years of employment
The University of Oslo offers a competitive salary range from kr 720 100 to kr 870 900, depending on qualifications. The university also provides membership in the Statens Pensjonskasse pension scheme, access to Norway's excellent public services and welfare schemes, and a family-friendly environment with rich opportunities for culture and outdoor activities.
