The Role

We're seeking a visionary Medical Authorization Specialist to join our team. As an expert in insurance verification, prior-authorization, and team coordination, you'll ensure a patient's visit is financially secured. This role requires proficient communication, handling insurance verification, notification, and authorization, as well as communicating patient financial responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collects and reviews patient demographic and insurance data for authorization purposes.
  • Ensures accurate and timely submission of all necessary documentation and diagnoses for authorizations.
  • Provides daily updates on authorization request status for optimal service delivery.
  • Focuses on maximizing reimbursement through meticulous billing and coding for all services rendered.
  • Manages the full claims process, from creation to follow-up, handling insurance inquiries with expertise.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience within a Medical Authorization or Billing role in the Healthcare industry.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Billing, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), and Insurance Authorizations with developed processes in one or all of these areas.
