Process Safety Manager

BHP's Process Safety Management framework is designed to ensure the safe operation of our facilities. As a Principal Process Safety Engineer, you will play a key role in promoting process safety management aspects and supporting the implementation of global requirements across BHP's operations. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goal of creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values charter.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industry-leading process safety management models and their elements, as well as experience in applying risk management techniques and tools to support informed decisions for any process safety risk exposure. You will be responsible for reviewing and challenging process safety studies, including HAZOPs, PHAs, and dispersion models, and will be experienced in the use of process safety hazard identification and risk assessment software tools.
As part of our Process Safety engineering team, you will work closely with a BHP-wide network of technical engineers to promote process safety management aspects, support the implementation of global requirements, and support continuous improvement in process safety management.
