About the Role:
The Property Underwriter will play a key role in the development and execution of the underwriting strategy for the Chile market. This individual will partner with the Active Underwriter and the wider underwriting community to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and price Property risks, including all forms of distribution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key brokers and clients.
- Prepare quotations and formal proposals on new and renewal business.
- Ensure that documentation is completed timely and accurately according to standards.
- Assist the Head of Property in addressing and resolving overdues, workflow, and critical issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or a related field.
- 4-10 years of property and/or energy underwriting experience.
- Advanced English (required).
- Experience in shared and layered (preferred) insurance market.
- Knowledgeable about Catastrophe management and property policy wordings.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching, and development skills.
