Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Expert to join our team at Anglo American. As a key member of our permitting compliance management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations comply with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in environmental regulations, compliance management, and risk assessment. You will be responsible for coordinating permit compliance monitoring activities, managing internal tools, and preparing reports required by the business unit and group permitting teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate permit compliance monitoring activities at the business unit level.
  • Manage internal tools to oversight and control the compliance processes implemented by sites.
  • Prepare and deliver reports required by the BU and Group Permitting.
  • Provide support and guidance on compliance with the permitting standard and on regularization strategies and mitigation plans for compliance gaps.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate internal and external verifications associated with permitting compliance management.
  • Participate in internal working groups related to permit compliance matters, providing technical advisory and support.
