Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Xbox team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building high-quality, reliable cloud services that power our gaming experiences.

• Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions using Azure and microservices architecture.
• Partner with stakeholders and product managers to gather requirements, document design documents, and implement new features.
• Own features from start to finish, ensuring high-quality, secure, and reliable services.
• Drive modern software engineering practices through design and code reviews, leveraging data and telemetry to make decisions.
• Develop and maintain gaming product catalog and search backend services that serve product information to millions of requests every day.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, and 5+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure, microservices, multi-tiered client/server distributed applications, and cross-device testing.
• Knowledge of distributed cloud service technologies such as Kubernetes, Redis, SQL, and CosmosDB.

• A passion for customers, product quality, and test engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in shipping high-quality products or services.
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.
