Regional Sales Growth Strategist

Rain Bird is seeking an experienced sales professional to drive growth and expansion in Latin America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with decision-makers in the irrigation industry.
Your primary objective will be to increase specification and sales of Rain Bird products within your assigned territory. This will involve developing and implementing effective call strategies, conducting product demonstrations and training sessions, and staying up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our regional team, collaborate with marketing staff, and participate in events and trade shows to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
You will be expected to travel extensively throughout Latin America (approximately 75% of the time) to meet with customers, attend industry events, and stay connected with our local teams.
Responsibilities- Establish Rain Bird as the primary irrigation product specified in your territory.
- Develop and implement sales programs designed to grow the territory through specification.
- Conduct product demonstrations, webinars, fairs, seminars, and become a product technical expert for the regional team.
- Analyze sales results, track projects updated on a regular basis, demonstrate and conduct product training.
- Participate in all relevant events for the purpose of networking and generating opportunities to sell Rain Bird products.
- Grow Rain Bird sales faster than the market growth rate, establish & lead sales & marketing plans, develop and manage channels of distribution and conduct customer training.
- Develop a strong agenda of traveling to achieve sales and market share objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or Engineer or other technical degree.
- 5+ years progressive work experience in technical sales to include leadership experience.
- Self-motivated, team player, results-oriented, and excellent communication skills required.
- This position requires that the candidate be fluent in Spanish and English.
- Computer knowledge: including working knowledge of Word & Excel.
- This position requires approximately 75% business travel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
