We are looking to hire someone for the **immediate **opening of **High School Math Teacher **for the
upcoming semester (February 1, 2023- June 16, 2023), according to the following skills and
qualifications:
**Position Details**
Position Name: High School Math Teacher
Position dependence: High School Principal
Time commitment: Full-time - short-term contract

**Qualifications and Experience**
IB teaching experience (courses will be IB Math SL Applications and Interpretations year
- one);- Math teaching experience using the Common Core Math Standards within an integrated,
- conceptually based curriculum (Courses will be Math 10 and Math 10 Advanced);- Solid conceptual and applied knowledge of current research and trends in curriculum,
- instruction, and assessment;- Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues;
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in high school math;
- High level of English proficiency required.

**Primary Responsibilities**
Contribute to fostering the mission, vision, and values of Nido;- Engage in the Nido community by promoting a positive, collaborative school culture;
- Teach five sections of math courses;
- Collaborate with the math department to further develop and improve the math curriculum
- this includes participating in weekly curricular planning meetings with course-alike teaching
partners;
- Serve as an Advisor for a small group of 8-12 high school students;
- Engage in the co-curricular program at Nido by advising a club or coaching an athletic team
- weekly;- Participate in the annual Week Without Walls program.
