**Purpose**
- Requirement to appoint a full time principal civil hydraulic engineer, with experience and knowledge in civil design, hydraulic design and tender process for services contracts to support projects, civil-hydraulic l engineering definition, technical support, standardization, quality, changes, progress and performance of projects contractors in the civil-hydraulic discipline.
- Based in Escondida Asset.**About the Role**
- o Strongly aimed to a safety focus.
- Work closely with the Manager Project Engineering, Engineering Team and Project/Study Manager of project in phases IPS, SPS, DPS and Execution to ensure project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are in line with the Base Metals business targets.
- Ensure that a quality and cost-effective designs are employed in civil-hydraulic disciplines.
- Ensure the civil-hydraulic engineering good practices and quality goals are met and maintained within the projects.- Review and recommend bidders list for key structural materials and equipment.
- Review and recommend successful bidder for major equipment and bulk material purchases.
- Participate with the operational and maintenance team in the engineering workshops (design review, value engineering, maintenance, operability, constructability and HAZOP) to ensure the civil-hydraulic requirements are incorporated into the designs.
- Coordinate activities and interphase between civil-hydraulic consultants and engineering contractors.
- Supervise productivity and quality levels of the civil-hydraulic engineering contractor’s deliverables.
- Supervise preparation and approve the key engineering documents produced by engineering contractors and vendors related to the structural design of any project or study.
- Supervise, on site, resident engineering development.
- Prepare and review scope of work and technical documents related with the engineering disciplines to call for bids for IPS, SPS, DPS studies or execution projects bids.**About You**
- Civil Engineer, Civil hydraulic (entitled).
- Experience in mining projects with focus in civil
- hydraulic design, and with experience in tender process documents preparation.
- Experience in cost estimate, execution plans, scheduling of medium and large mining projects and in tender process for services contracts (Engineering, Construction, Topography, Soil Mechanical, others)
- Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office.
