What you will be doing

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that the Company’s Health and Safety Policy is implemented consistently across -Chile -Uruguay -Argentina.
- Monitor, evaluate and review Health and Safety policy and practice, make recommendations and implement new policies and procedures as required by each country’s local regulation.
- Assist in purchasing, qualification, and set up of technical equipment (as applicable) Personal protective Equipment, Third-party vendors according to Regional and Local requirements.
- Steer local interpretation of regulatory and World Courier internal requirements.
- Assessment of the activities/non-conformances related to health & safety on the local level.
- Provide response to client questionnaires in close cooperation with branch/ country manager and Health & Safety Representative
- Schedule client audits and coordinate the audit agenda in close cooperation with branch/ country manager and Health & Safety Representative.
- Manage the preparation of NDAs on a local level
- Manage on-site preparation for client audits in close cooperation with branch/ country manager and Health & Safety Representative.
- Accompany audits as applicable
- Coordinate the preparation of audit response in close cooperation with branch/ country manager, local quality coordinators (if applicable), and Health & Safety Representative.
- Manage and follow up on pending audit observations.
- Establish, manage and coordinate local H&S CAPA and H&S Change Management activities.
- Sign off local H&S CAPA and H&S Change Management documents.
- Follow up on pending activities.
- Archiving of finalized local H&S CAPA and H&S Change Management documents.
- Authorizing local H&S SOPs.
- Establish appropriate training material and conduct training for general H&S topics, e.g. H&S SOP, current laws, regulations, directives, health & safety management system, etc.
- Carryout/Support the committees with the on-site inspections and report shortcomings to the relevant manager.
- Assist in inquiries resulting from new requirements from internal or external stakeholders, authorities, and/or clients.
- Coordinate the Health & Safety management system audit programs in the Countries.
- Prepare the internal audit.
- Steer Local H&S Management Review meetings.
- Determine the internal and external influences that have the potential of impacting the H&S management system.
- Manage subcontractor qualification in close cooperation with branch/ country manager, finance, and Health & Safety Manager
- Establish, update and manage the hazard identification and assessment of risk and opportunities.
- Investigate and follow up on recorded accidents, incidents, and near misses and report to the Health & Safety Authority where required.
- Ensure all office buildings and equipment used receives regular inspections and maintenance.

- Establish, implement and maintain processes for participation and consultation by workers at all applicable levels and functions, and with the workers’ representatives, over the improvement H&S management system.
- Establish, implement and maintain the necessary processes for internal and external communications pertinent to the H&S Management system.
- Establish, implement and maintain a database o the applicable legal, technical and, other requirements, also, take action based on identified compliance gaps, and implement a process for evaluating the compliance of the implemented controls.
- Establish, implement and maintain all the processes necessary for the attention of natural and man-made emergencies through the constant identification of real or potential emergencies.
- Guarantee the maintenance of all documented information as required by the local legal requirements and other standards, as applicable.
- Foster the H&S performance with Continual Improvement in order to prevent the occurrence of incidents and nonconformities, promote a positive H&S culture and enhance H&S performance.
- Lead the Health & Safety management system implementation and maintenance, in close cooperation with branch/ country manager and Health & Safety Manager.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
