The Digital Transformation Engineer is responsible for identifying and prioritizing opportunities, leading, and executing improvement projects using digital, automation, continuous improvement, and engineering tools in conjunction with the knowledge and production technology currently implemented in the process. The focus of the role is on the identification, execution, and implementation of projects, as well as promoting improvement initiatives and technological development in the areas of process safety, product quality, sustainability, capacity, reliability and productivity, in support of the company's strategy.

The Digital Transformation Engineer will report to the Continuous Improvement leader of the Pargua site and will support the entire organization.

**Role Scope and Location**:

As Digital Transformation Engineer, you will be part of our digitization and automation team that is committed to improving decisions at our production site, you will be in charge of connectivity, vertical integration, channeling and systematization of the data structure of the projects to realize.

This role combines the identification of opportunities and prioritization of projects with a vision of productivity. You will have an active role with the global Digitization & Automation team, as well as with both national and international suppliers and internal clients of the company. This position has responsibility from the realization of the diagnosis, the support on digital products, to the sustainability of the improvements implemented.

**Location / Work modality**
- Route 5 South, on the way to Pargua, commune of Calbuco.

“Agile” hybrid work modality: Between 2 to 5 days on site from Monday to Friday

**Job Requirements**:

- Professional title: electronic, computer sciences, IT, chemical or industrial civil engineering.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English
- Desirable experience in digital transformation projects, both as a data or automation engineer, with analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience in statistical tests and programming preferably in Python or R languages.
- Experience working with large data sets or automated data management systems.
- Previous experience in production processes, with a focus on productivity improvements, unit, and system performance. Knowledge of automation systems.
- Desirable knowledge of process simulation tools with linear / nonlinear programming.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a highly engaging and dynamic team environment with different cultures, backgrounds, and experience levels.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Experience teaching and presenting technical designs, solutions and building skills to employees at all levels of the organization.
