- United Kingdom**Equans is looking for a Head of Design and Estimating to join our EV Charging Solutions business the role will be home based with some additional national travel. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.**

The Head of Design and Estimating will have an excellent working knowledge of bids, proposals and pricing. Leading a team of Surveyors and Bid Coordinators.

**What will you deliver?**
- The role will have management responsibility for a Surveyor and Bid coordinators.
- You will contribute directly to Equan’s strategic vision of empowering transitions; working towards a low carbon future.
- Will need to have an excellent eye for detail and be able to manage conflicting priorities and inspire the team to put the customer at the heart of our solutions.
- You will work with key stakeholders, including the sales team and the supply chain, to deliver winning proposals in support of our business targets and objectives.
- Work with the Business Development Director to navigate the internal governance requirements, ensuring that tender submissions are appropriately authorised before submission.
- You will be responsible for the quality and competitiveness of our quotes, proposals and tenders.
- Work with the Operations Project Managers, Stock and Logistics Manager and Operations Director.
- Support the sales team to provide solutions that meet client requirements, at an appropriate price point, and maintain an excellent win rate.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Bid management experience essential
- Electrical engineering background
- People management experience preferred
- Numeracy
- Verbal Reasoning
- Ability to resolve complex issues
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Presentation proposal and report writing skills
- Negotiation skills
- Relationship Management
- Developed experience of sales process

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of the EV market strongly preferred
