**Position Summary**

Bechtel is seeking a Quality Supervisor for the Desalination and Marine Works for the Mining & Metals team, based in Chile. The position will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of the Quality Management System, participating in the implementation of the quality program/plans. Supervising quality activities on the project as instructed by the Project Quality Manager or Deputy Project Quality Manager. May maintain client liaison and communication for project quality activities. Performing audits and surveillances to identify and mitigate risks as input for the Quality planning. Advises management of project quality problems and progress.

**Responsibilities**

The Quality Supervisor for the Desalination and Marine Works is principally responsible for:

- Implementing the quality program/plans for a project.
- Ensuring timely and effective implementation of project quality program/plans.
- Directing the implementation of the project monitoring/auditing program at the assigned construction.
- Preparing and completes quality audit checklists and participates in audits.
- Providing recommendations to project personnel to correct quality deficiencies.
- Representing the project during audits by management, the client and regulatory agencies as requested by the quality manager.
- Following up on actions taken in response to audit findings to ensure adequate close out.
- Providing on-the-job training for assigned quality personnel.
- Preparing quality procedures for review, approval, and issuance in accordance with client and company requirements.
- Preparing revisions/amendments for the project quality program/plan for review, approval, and issuance.
- Reviewing quality related procedures and manuals developed by other departments, suppliers, and subcontractors for conformance to project quality program/plan requirements.
- Reviewing and reports on the impact of new or revised regulatory requirements on the project quality program/plan.
- Performing supplier/subcontractor qualification surveys, reviews requests for proposals, evaluates bid documents, reviews supplier/subcontractor quality programs, and performs source inspections, surveillances and quality audits.

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Basic Qualifications**

The Quality Supervisor for the Desalination and Marine Works shall be knowledgeable and/or experienced in:

- Specialized courses in engineering, quality, personnel administration, or a specialized discipline.
- Practical work experience in fields of engineering, environmental science, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, or business administration
- All applicants must have the right to work and remain in Chile.

**Additional Qualifications**
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and functions which impact the quality program/plan.
- Proficiency in oral and written communications.
- Proficiency in providing direction and on the job training to assigned personnel.
- Some proficiency in managing financial performance.
- Proficiency in the use of applicable computer programs.
