- Should be able to Implement and fine-tunes data governance guidelines, policies, processes, and controls.
- Implements and utilizes data solutions for data analysis and profiling using a variety of tools such as Postman, R or Python and following team’s established processes and methodologies.
- Ensures high quality of the inhouse data via data stewardship.
- Ensures adoption of taxonomy and ontology for the compiled data to end users.
- Ensure data consistency across multiple systems and business units.
- Collaborates with other data stewards and engineers within the team and across teams on aligning delivery dates and integration efforts.
- Should be able to utilizes root cause analysis to identify trends and assess impact of data quality issues.
- Coordinates design sessions with other Stewards, Data Engineers, Engineering teams, Data Scientists and Product team.
- Ensure Data Quality, Validation, Wrangling, and Best Control Practices.
- Participates in Open Data efforts, making data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) to strengthen effectiveness
- Understands business capability needs and processes as they relate to IT solutions through partnering with Product Managers and business and functional IT stakeholders.
- Participates in data scraping, data curation and data compilation efforts.

What you bring to the role:
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance and the following skills:

- Experience with RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, Sybase), Oracle - SQL, PLSQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, creation of Tables, Cursors, Procedures, Packages, Triggers, Views and Indexes
- Experience working with Hive Data Definition Language (DDL) and Hive Query Language (HQL)
- Experience in designing data catalogs, including data design, metadata structures, object relations, catalog population, etc.
- Understanding of data architecture; modeling and data management best practices
- Knowledge of industry data practice/governance models (DAMA, CMMI, DGI, etc.)
- Ability to understand agile development, continuous deployment, DevOps, and decision science - AI, ML etc.
- Should possess an understanding of financial markets
- Strong understanding of capital markets, FX & FX Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to articulate ideas and develop recommendations
- Experience in working as a part of bigger teams working towards a common goal
- Proficiency in developing and giving presentations
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to document analytical results suitable for audiences of all technical levels
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
