We are looking for an Engagement Coordinator, this role is a great opportunity for a person with strong political skills and people management experience to join a team within Rio Tinto’s business development in Escondida.

Reporting to the GM Business Development & Partnerships, working in a collaborative community, a challenging and exciting environment, and a diverse team, you will be:

- Support Chile Country Manager and project team in delivering Escondida JV business plan and Rio Tinto Chile Strategy.
- Develops and promotes standardized processes, continuous improvement, speed, and agility.
- Central coordination of Escondida JV team for all Escondida interactions.
- Internal stakeholder engagement and functional support coordination.
- Coordinates annual planning process, management reporting and KPI tracking.
- Support central corporate offices, Washington and London, with internal and external communications in Chile. This includes periodical reporting.
- Manages external stakeholder engagement that supports the Chile office, like Consejo Minero, CEP, AMCHAM, political and economic consultants etc.
- Weekly reports on the Chilean political and economic conditions.
- Develop strategical agendas for Senior Leaders interactions with Escondida and Chile.
- Full Rio Tinto systems management.

**What you’ll bring**
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Bachelor’s degree career
- At least 5 years of experience coordinating planning processes, tracking KPIs and supporting communications
- Ability to engage effectively (written and verbal) with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Ability to achieve outcomes through influence and collaboration with others
- Political skills and excellent people management.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required
