**About the Role**:
Accountability over the end to end project management of sustaining investments from study phase through to delivery for Asset Capital Sustaining Portfolio at small and medium investments, ensuring faster and more agile processes in study phases, approvals, execution and delivery to the Operation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overriding commitment to Health, Safety and Environment standards (HSE) and BHP charter values, across all project stages.
- Manage a portfolio of small and medium investment at different phases.
- Manage studies through BHP stage gates (IPS, SPS & DPS) and governance process (IAR & IPR) to ensure project alternatives are comprehensively evaluated and the project is technically and financially optimized according to the capital efficiency and considering Operation needs (fit for purpose).
- Ensure project studies are concluded, for the execution phase, as per the statement of requirements (SOR) with a finalized scope of work, estimate, schedule, execution strategy (PES) and plan (PEP), permits, risk analysis and commercial agreements
- Manage project execution phase including engineering consultants and contractors (EPCM, EPC etc.) to ensure projects are successfully delivered in terms of HSE, scope, cost, cash-flow, schedule, quality, handover to operations and ramp-up.
- Implement and actively manage key project management processes in accordance with BHP requirements including: project HR (incl. mobilization), implementation of the PEP and PES, HSE management, engineering management, contracts & procurement management, construction management, PC&A, quality management, change management, risk management, commissioning management and operational readiness, and handover to Operation.
- Establish good communication and alignment with stakeholders including Operations, HSE, Finance, HR and RL, P&T, Legal and Centers of Excellence.
- Ensure the correct formalization of agreements (SLA's) on responsibilities and scope between projects and operations, with special emphasis on brownfield projects.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Ability to work on site full time, during the execution phase.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in mining capital studies and project execution
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate at an executive level with senior management and assets.
- Fluency in English is preferred.
