**BRIEF**:
**The Regional Manager, Regional Inventory Centers will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the RIC’s supervisor teams (within assigned locations). This position will require a strong leader to effectively accomplish safety, operational, quality, and budgetary goals.**:
**DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensures maximum Supply Chain growth and the creation/fostering of a high growth environment.
- Develops and directs, under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, RIC team (within assigned locations) to maximize utilization of RIC’s, potential and ensure the achievement of corporate goals.
- Provides leadership, under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, RIC leadership in all phases of management and MSC culture throughout their Region.
- Uses internal and external resources to analyze and assess RIC’s potential and create strategic plans to maximize profits while minimizing expenses and achieving sales/profit goals.
- Develops and cultivates good customer relations via face to face contact. Responds to customers’ needs, consistent with MSC standards, culture, and business practices. Creates solutions to customers’ needs/problems.
- Participates/encourages, under guidance of the Sr. Manager, quality assessment, profitability, and improvement activities.
- Along with the Sr. Manager, prepares the annual revenue and expense budgets and manages expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgetary constraints. Takes corrective action as needed.
- Participates in the development and implementation of new value adds for the company.
- Develops and tailors, under guidance of the Sr. Manager, Region strategy in alignment with and to enhance MSC corporate marketing strategy.
- Develops and Maintains vendor relations to enhance MSC goodwill/name recognition.
- Acts responsibly as a Regional Manager level job in a public company.
- Ensures RICs locations function cross-functionally with other MSC departments and initiatives.
- Manages the implementation of plans to increase market share within the Region.
- Drives, under guidance of the Sr. Manager, interactive communication within the service Region to ensure proper information is disseminated correctly and feedback is a continuous part of the communication.
- Implements plans to attract, retain, and develop associates in sales and operations.
- Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC Manager as defined by the MSC Code of Conduct including hiring, termination, review, and development of associates.
- Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**:

- A Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent is required.
- Minimum of six years progressively more responsible sales or operations experience including a minimum of three years sales/operations management experience required.

**SKILLS**:

- Excellent planning, budgeting, and forecasting P&L skills are required.
- Strategic planning experience is required.
- Excellent recruiting and hiring skills are required.
- Basic computer literacy is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel are required.
