**About the Role**
- Rol encargado de liderar la caracterización geotécnica, el diseño geotécnico de las excavaciones de rocas superficiales y subterráneas. Junto con esto deberá entrenar y desarrollar un equipo de trabajo para generar un alto rendimiento.- Principales **Responsabilidades**:
- Lleva a cabo la caracterización, compila los modelos y realiza el análisis y los diseños geotécnicos para mejorar el control del terreno y los métodos y diseños de minería en superficie.
- Define las áreas de interés y las metodologías apropiadas para el muestreo y la recopilación de datos a fin de adquirir conocimientos sobre el yacimiento mineral que permitan a BHP tomar decisiones de valor.
- Modela y lleva a cabo análisis y diseños geotécnicos en muestras de suelo para mejorar las inspecciones y los métodos y diseños de la minería civil.
- Identifica, involucra y gestiona una amplia gama de grupos de interés internas y externas.
- Identifica y evalúa los riesgos, toma decisiones informadas sobre los riesgos, utiliza el marco de gestión de riesgos de BHP y crea una cultura consciente del riesgo para respaldar resultados de desempeño seguros y productivos.
- Busca información, planifica y realiza análisis para respaldar la toma de decisiones basadas en pruebas.
- Involucra las capacidades de toda la compañía.
- Se esfuerza por lograr el 100% de seguridad, el 100% del valor del cliente y el 0% de desperdicio.

**About You**
- Experiência 10+ años en area de Geotecnia en industria minera
- Deseable experiência/ conocimientos en Hidrogeología
- Experiência en Estudios Geotécnicos
- Ingeniero/a Civil Mina o Geólogo/a
