We are looking for a **Principal Advisor** to continue the development of develop the bio-heap leaching aspects of our Nuton technology.
This is a great opportunity to** expand and develop your career in** bio-heap leaching. You will use your expertise to extract and transfer knowledge into the design and controls of the operating heap to ensure the performance objectives of the plant are achieved.
Our new venture Nuton is a suite of technologies built on nature-based alchemy. These bio-heap leaching technologies offer the potential to unlock new sources of the much-needed metal while also producing it in a more sustainable way. To find out more visit our Nuton Website
Reporting to the Delivery Manager and working in a collaborative community of experts in the bio leaching field, you will be:
Managing the Engineering Service Providers (ESP) scope, contract and relationship
- Working with Nuton experts and our partner the ESP to develop and deploy the Nuton bio-heap leaching technology.
- Managing and resolving technical and technology risks to develop the Nuton design and technology.
- Driving a deep understanding of the interplay of the control parameters to optimize anda validate design with the operation of the heap.
- Communication with the Nuton technical team, providing a fluent channel of the different test work programs at Bundoora and elsewhere.
- Trouble shooting and suggesting changes to the operational control.
- Managing and maintaining technical risk and technical decision registers.
- Support our partner and internal technical teams from the early assessment of potential opportunity sites by supporting geological, mineralogical and metallurgical information definition and gathering and site visits.
- Support and lead test work programs related to the project. Site visits and supervision/accountability of their performances.
- Ensuring adequate change management is carried out when material changes to the Nuton technology are proposed.
- Involvement and delivery of the development of the technical manuals and onsite technical training
- Providing technical support to commissioning, start-up and performance guarantee testing in lab test work, demo/trials and commercial scale.
- Actively work with the Delivery Manager to assist, monitor, manage and report on relevant evaluation test work programmes and technology development programs.
**What you’ll bring**
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering - GeoMetallurgy, Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical, Mining or any other related field. Postgraduate in Leaching is a plus.
- Experience in technical operational heap leaching expertise with a strong background in bio-heap leaching (More than 15 years)
- Experience transferring knowledge in operational documentation.
- Laboratory leaching test work experience.
- Project management experience with the ability to critically review project deliverables to track process design throughout all phases of the project. (engineering, procurement, operational readiness and commissioning) (More than 5 years).
- Proven experience in complex stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in copper heap leaching operations (including solvent extraction and electrowinning) will be favorable.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization and external vendors and stakeholders
- High English proficiency.
