Qhsse Manager

Job Description

The QHSSE Manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, promoting, and monitoring the programs and practices for successful implementation of the QHSE Management System of Fugro as well as the related local regulations. Also, this role leads the QHSE local team and create strong relationships with client’s stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities- Provide QHSE support for project management and operations within the Chilean office.- Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Integrated Management System.- Supervise QHSSE team and provide guidance as needed for best use of resources. Participates in regulatory and commercial compliance activities for Fugro, regulatory institutions, clients, etc.- Educate and train personnel within the organization on QHSE (IMS) Plans and programs. Lead local audit and inspection programs, as well as Incident Investigations, serving as Lead Investigator in some investigations.- Ensure QHSSE training compliance for all employees in the country.- Interact and engage directly with external clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry organizations as a representative of Fugro in QHSSE related matters.-
- Serve as a trusted QHSSE resource within the Chilean office.- Perform research and networking to ensure QHSSE best practices are reviewed and implemented as practical within the Company.- Participate in the Claims Management process at various levels, as requested.- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.- Performs other duties or completes special projects as assigned, local or regionally.- Availability to visit projects sites routinely and occasionally to provide HSSE support and supervision.

Requirements For The Position- University degree in Civil Engineering, HSSE related degree in industrial engineering, or related field. Desirable postgraduate degree.- Minimum 10+ years of experience in quality and/or H&S positions. Previous experience in the mining industry.- Previous experience in leadership positions.- Advanced English level is required.- MS Office Advanced.
