**Role and responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements, design specifications, and user stories.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Write efficient and reliable tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress and/or Venom to ensure end-to-end testing coverage across multiple platforms and devices.
- Continuously improve and expand test coverage by identifying and implementing new test cases and strategies based on evolving software requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, working closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish best practices, testing standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to the overall quality culture of the organization by promoting a mindset of shift-left testing, continuous improvement and quality excellence.
**Required qualifications and skills**:
- Experience working in an SDET or similar role, with foci on designing and executing automated test suites for both UI end-to-end and backend integration tests, typically obtained in 3-5 years.
- Programming skills in languages like Python, JavaScript, or similar, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Experience in writing tests using Playwright, Cypress, Venom or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of microservice and/or loosely coupled architectures.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira).
- Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly articulate testing-related insights and recommendations.
- Written and spoken proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Strong attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
**Desired qualifications and skills**:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience with other test case management tools such as TestRail, Xray, or Zephyr.
- Knowledge of performance testing and load testing methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
