**Job Summary**:
The Maintenance & Engineering Manager is a key member of the plant leadership team which develops and implements the strategic direction for the organization as a world class manufacturing operation in line with the vision of CPS, being a key enabler of the CPS Transformation path in the operation in terms of infrastructure & technology.
The Maintenance & Engineering Manager leads the business support requirements for the Engineering function covering Facilities Management, Process Engineering, Automation, IT support and the Maintenance function.
The role is also responsible for the development and execution of annual and long-term capital plans for the operation.
Responsible for the coordination of a group of employees engaged in preventive and corrective maintenance of production machines and equipment; controls the progress of work orders; analyzes budget variations and provides explanations when required. Leads/supervises a team of more than 2 professionals; typically without budget or hire-fire authority; focuses on mentoring and coordination.
**Key Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Maintenance & Engineering team to assure the plant operates according to all company and ISO standards and in a cost-effective manner.
- Develop capital investment plans to meet current and future business demands, and monitor its execution to achieve time, cost, and results targets. Manage the portfolio of projects defined for the operation.
- Responsible for the development of the Site Master Plan, a 5-year strategic plan for the assets and systems.
- Develop and manage the budget for the area, including facility management and services, external maintenance providers, spare parts and any recurrent expense related to these operations.
- Lead, develop and coach the Maintenance & Engineering team with overall responsibility for hiring, performance enablement, career plans and capabilities development of the team.
- Identify current and future IT needs and opportunities to improve the use of technology in the operation in order to increase automation and gain productivity. Follow guidelines and best practices identified by use cases as part of Plant of The Future Initiative in Manufacturing Transformation.
- Ensure a safe work environment and nurture a safety focused culture in the Engineering and Maintenance Department, based on Life Saving Rules and global programs & tools.
- Set the strategy and ensure correct execution for facilities Security, Custodial Services, Cafeteria, general House Keeping, Transportation, all associated with the Personnel Wellbeing, meeting Company Requirements and Standards, local regulations, and safety conditions.
**Education Requirements**:
University professional with experience in Automation, Industry 4.0, Project Management, Industrial Maintenance.
**Related Work Experience**:
Minimum of 6-8 years in Maintenance/Engineering/Manufacturing roles in a chemical or food processing plant working under international standards. 3-5 years of supervisory responsibility.
**Functional Skills**:
- English: fluent writing, listening and oral.
- Solid Technical Knowledge (Electricity, Electronics and/or Mechanical), experience in EXiM (Excellence in Maintenance) and RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) is desired.
- Managerial skills including influencing, interpersonal, performance management and leadership.
- Negotiation, mathematical and financial analysis skills. Written and verbal communication skills.

**Travel Requirements**:
Travel is required and represents 5% of the total time, for the purpose of:
- Engineering Workshops
- FAT´s for new technology
- Benchmarking/Standardization with other company Plants and Suppliers.
