- El rol de Engineering Manager lidera a los ingenieros de Betterfly a nível de Tribu, que corresponde a una agrupación de Squads en un dominio de negocios definido. Es, en buenas cuentas, como un mini CTO (en su Tribu), reportándole a su vez a un rol de Director of Engineering.- Tiene dos roles fundamentales:
- 1) coordinar la implementación de la estrategia de Producto y Tecnología de la empresa en el dominio de su tribu en coordinación directa con el Group Product Manager, y
- 2) liderar, mentorear, y hacer crecer profesionalmente a los Technical Leads y Senior Technical Leads en cada squad, y a través de ellos, a los ingenieros de software.
- El rol de Engineering Manager trabaja muy cerca del Group Product Manager de su tribu.- ¿Cuál es el alcance de este rol? El rol de Engineering Manager lidera y apoya a los ingenieros en los aspectos **técnicos** y de desarrollo profesional necesarios. Es decir, si bien el rol de GPM y de Engineering Manager están juntos a cargo de la implementación de la estrategia en su dominio, el rol de Engineering Manager está más cerca del “**Cómo**”, mientras que el del GPM está más cerca del “**Qué**”.- Por otro lado, un Engineering Manager lidera a sus TLs con respecto a las iniciativas para que sigamos desarrollando software de alta calidad. Pero un Engineering Manager también debe tener una visión del negocio, no sólo técnica, para conectar las necesidades de negocio con el dominio de su Tribu a nível de implementación, arquitectura, calidad y software. Alinea las visiones de Arquitectura IT y lidera la cultura DevOps a través de los SRE dentro de su tribu.- Desde un punto de vista de liderazgo, el rol de Engineering Manager vive los valores Betterfly y los lleva en su día a día.**Las principales responsabilidades de un(a) Head of Engineering son**:

- Guiar al Tribe respecto a las decisiones técnicas, compartiendo conocimiento y velando por la conformidad de la solución con la especificación de arquitectura.
- Trabajar alineado(a) con líderes de producto, design y negocio, guiando el equipo de desarrollo para mejorar nuestros procesos y velocidad.
- Velar por el cumplimiento de los estándares de desarrollo y calidad en la Tribu.
- Responsable de crear y gestionar los planes de desarrollo de personas con el Tech Leads.
- Velar por comunicar de forma periódica el contexto y nuevas necesidades de negocio para las Squads.
- Identificar de forma temprana issues y problemas técnicos, proponiendo alternativas de solución apropiadas.
- Ser un habilitador para el desarrollo profesional de las personas que lidera, delineando oportunidades de crecimiento que le permitan potenciar y facilitar el avance en un path de carrera.
- Hacer 1:1s periódicos con sus liderados y garantir o desarrollo de ellos.

- Conocimientos y experiência en Ingeniería de Software
