**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
The Acceleration Impact Fund (AIF) - Key Ecosystem Protection project is funded by The Nature Conservancy. The objective of this two-year project (2024-2026) is to generate relevant information on conservation governance structures led by Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities and inputs that will contribute to the effective implementation of the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Service (SBAP), improving the effective conservation of Chile's iconic ecosystems, as well as the livelihoods of local communities and indigenous peoples.
The Conservation Analyst provides technical leadership and support to a business unit and plans and directs preserve management programs and stewardship on Humboldt program. The Conservation Analyst addresses critical threats to natural systems and individual species, fosters cross-site learning among conservation community, and supplies conservation planning teams with site or landscape level information relevant to the planning process. The Conservation Analyst develops and implements conservation strategies and employs a full range of protection tools to acquire varying degrees of legal interest in land/ocean and implements a variety of strategies to secure public and private support for TNC conservation priorities, as a project manager. The Conservation Analyst coordinates community support, ensures the maintenance of preserve areas frequented by the visiting public and coordinates multiple projects, sets deadlines and managing completion.

Reporting to the Humboldt Chile Ocean Lead, this position will need to:
- Ensure program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
- Performs tasks with mínimal supervision and makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience, and context.
- Implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning of the AIF - Key Ecosystem Protection project, aligns with TNC's Shared Conservation Agenda and definitions for Humboldt iconic place in Chile.
- Organize and maintain constant monitoring of the tasks and activities included in the project work plan, through tools such as Smarthsheet and other internal TNC methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with the project leader and finance officer to track the project budget, ensuring that expenses are within established categories and limits, tracking the timely execution of annual budgets, and performing other related tasks.
- Contribute to the process of strengthening TNC's partnership.
- Technical support in the development of proposals for obtaining resources, and internal alignment to help advance the project.
- Technical support for the development and management of innovative action for achieve TNC´s conservation goals.
- Prepares and reviews monthly/ quarterly and yearly FTE reports, fiscal year financial forecasts, project budgeting follow-ups, and SOP compliance.
- Supports building and updating the operating plans of the strategy and implement action for its improvement, coordinately with conservation leaders and financial team.
- Develops the necessary administrative and financial procedures for execution of agreements, grants and contracts of the conservation projects assigned, coordinately with the financial team of TNC and following the requirements of the donor.
- Supports the preparation of the necessary periodic financials reports of the projects and agreements of the Chile conservation program.
- Performs administrative and financial management for the publication, request, monitoring, file the contracts and agreements of the conservation projects assigned.
- Prepares and manage requests of amendments to contracts in accordance with the guidelines of the supervisors and previous approval of the coordination.
- Carries out processes of purchase and acquisitions of goods and services of the strategy with the guidelines of the technical team and SOP´s.
- Maintains updated the contracts and agreements data base, including products due date and related payments. Give alerts of the administrative compliance.
