Role and Responsibilities
As the Assistant Merchant for Dockers LATAM direct-to-consumer (DTC), you are passionate about clothing and the retail space and focused on an excellent customer experience. You will report to the Senior Merchant of DTC channels (retail stores, Ecom), and be responsible for supporting the entire LATAM merchandising team through data systems management, sample needs, market research, and administrative needs. You are a team player and eager to deliver the best in-class experience through the best assortment and results, prioritizing consumer profiles of LATAM (Mexico, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, etc). We are looking for a Merchandising Assistant to act as an integral part of the Merchandising team for Dockers Latin America.
The notable responsibilities of the Merchandising Assistant are:
- Data entry and maintaining seasonal product integrity in our systems (PLM)
- Merchandising Tool creation and management (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Conduct administrative work for the merchandising team as needed
- Contribute to some aspects of Product Development activities
- Assist with targeted consumer and competitor research via market shopping and fashion publications
- Sample Organization & Management
- Assist with the analyzing of sales on regular basis and work with brand merchandising, global merchandising and design partners, markets, and planning teams to build product strategies
- Participate in design/merchandising key milestone meetings
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 - 2 years of Corporate Retail or Merchandising Experience
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Has a passion for the product and is consumer-obsessed
- Takes action to deeply understand the brand
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills (within and across organizational functions and geographies)
- Participates in an environment with honest and open discussion of all issues that results in informed decisions
- Extremely strong customer service orientation and the ability to multi-task; with the desire to work in a very fast-paced environment and an ability to manage last-minute changes
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
- English Business Proficiency Required
